INTERN POSITION: Graphic Design/Marketing Coordinator

 

Description: Mindful Mix is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a graphic design/marketing coordinator intern position that works with the Director to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote, not only Mindful Mix, but also the agency’s clients. The ideal candidate will be able to creatively bring a marketing project from conception through delivery. Projects include design for print, design for web, social media, e-mail campaigns, and event coordination. This intern should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task while producing above quality work. In this fast paced environment the candidate should have a creative problem solving skill set and the ability to meet and exceed deadlines. The unpaid intern position is virtual; therefore the candidate must have access to a computer/laptop with Internet access.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design of marketing materials including brochures, direct
mail, PowerPoint presentations, e-newsletters, e-mail announcements, online promotion, etc.

• Assist in the distribution of marketing materials

• Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

• Create and maintain relationships with social networking connections through comments, posts, article population, and other activities

• Website and social media optimization

• Research and drafting short articles for company and/or client blogs

 

Skill Set Required:

Looking for a dependable, self-starter undergraduate student who is majoring in Marketing, Business, or Communications. The candidate should have strong skills working with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Dreamweaver, Word Press and Constant Contact knowledge is a plus. A strong understanding of how Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Blogs can be used to enhance business will be necessary. Must be available a minimum of 12 hours per week. Depending upon the project, a few in person meetings may be necessary. The internship program runs 12 weeks. This is an unpaid position but offers training, experience, and mentorship.
